Combining with Grandpa
Posted: January 29, 2016 | Last Revised: January 29, 2016

One of my earlier childhood memories was at my Grandpa & Grandma Hoogendoorns farm - it was harvest season and my sister and I were staying overnight with our grandparents. I went in the combine with Grandpa and was sitting on the arm of his chair and remember saying "Haha Grandpa it looks like the corn stalks are doing a ballet twirl before they get gobbled up into the combine." I remember he laughed and laughed. He was a great man who loved his family and we will miss his warm presence in our lives.
