Angela Marie Faber

INWOOD, IOWA ~ Angela Marie Faber, 89, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, formerly of Inwood, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.

   Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Inwood Christian Reformed Church in Inwood, Iowa with Rev. Roger Bouwman officiating. Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery of Inwood, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the Christian Reformed Church. The Porter Funeral Home in Inwood is assisting the family. The family prefers memorials in memory of Angela be given to any charity of your choice in Inwood.

 Angela was born February 11, 1935, in Doon, Iowa to William and Renetta (De Young) Bouwman.  Angie married Ron on September 10, 1953 and farmed the Faber homestead before moving to their own farm near Inwood in 1961.

   Angie was active in the Inwood community and especially Inwood Christian Reformed Church and Inwood Christian School. She also loved anything blue, making cinnamon rolls, and children- especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

   Surviving relatives include three sons and their wives, Wilmer & Janice, Marlin & Gracia, Roger and Nancy. Three daughters including their husbands, Sharon & Stuart, Sandy & Deloy, Sharla & Terry. Wilmer’s family includes: Jason & Jacqueline, Dean & Stephanie (Skyler, Jaiden, Blake), Shannon & Joni (Breanna, Brayden, Ayla, Aspen), and Dan & Libby (Austin & Madison). Marlin’s family includes: Eric & Darcy (Katelyn, Evan, Cory Levi), Amber & Travis (Alex, Gracelyn, Luke), and Cinda & Ryan (Hannah, Tori, Cassidy, Kole). Roger’s family includes: Chasidy & Doy (Trae, JJ, Kaiden, Janessa), Mitchel (Madelyn), and Chris & Janine (Ciera, Tristan). Sharon’s family includes: Annie & Aaron (Teddy) and Abby & Brian (Ellie). Sandy’s family includes: Angie & Jonny (Ezekiel, Charlie), Amanda & Dan, and Allie & Jesse. Sharla’s family includes: Alisha & Matt, Bailey & Macy and Blair. Honorary grandchildren: Ana & Dragos (Sierra), Azuziddin.  Her surviving siblings include:  Alvin & Edith (Dolly) Hoogendoorn, Joan Bouwman, Jim & Esther Bouwman, Bill & Carol Bouwman, and John & Paula Swenson Bouwman. 

   Angie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ron, as well as siblings:  Edward & Sarah Bouwman, Vernon & Annette Wiese, Fred & Ann Tilstra, Gerrit & Martina Vanden Brink, and Walt Bouwman; and granddaughter, Carie Faber.
