Antonia Van De Stroet, daughter of Gerrit and Tillie (Van Harselaar) Bronkhorst, was born February 12, 1929, in Holland. Toni spent her formative years in Holland until moving to the United States with her family when she was 18 years old. Toni was united in marriage with Henry Van De Stroet on January 2, 1952, at Inwood, Iowa.  Together the couple made their home on a farm near Fairview, South Dakota. Upon retiring from farming, Toni and Henry moved to Rock Valley, Iowa. The couple later moved to Fellowship Village at Inwood. Henry died January 15, 2018.

Growing up in Holland during World War II, Toni knew how to be thrifty and not waste the items the family had. With these skills, Toni became very talented at sewing, quilting, patchwork, and gardening. She enjoyed music and liked playing piano and organ; Toni was even a member of an accordion music club in Holland. Toni loved being with her family and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She was a member of Bethany Reformed Church of Canton, South Dakota for several years. After moving to Rock Valley, Toni became a member of Faith Reformed Church.

Toni is survived by her 2 daughters, Teresa (Greg) Vanden Bosch of Hull, Iowa and Janice (Darwan) Scholten of Boyden, Iowa; 7 grandchildren, Kyle (Tessa) Vanden Bosch, Matthew (Larissa) Vanden Bosch, Danielle (William) Wiekamp, Grant (Fiancée, Julia) Vanden Bosch, Aimee Vanden Bosch, Brayden Scholten, and Alyvia Scholten; 3 great-grandchildren, Emalyn, Brielle, and Logan Vanden Bosch; and brother-in-law, Ken Van Gelder of LeMars, Iowa.
