In Loving Memory of Ashlynn Marie Short
Ashlynn Marie Short, 19, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of love, memories, and the many lives she touched during her time with us.
Ashlynn was a beautiful person with a truly pure soul. She had a way of making the people around her feel good simply by being there. She wanted positivity wherever she went and had a heart big enough to love everyone she met. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine love for others were some of the qualities that made Ashlynn so special.
Growing up, Ashlynn loved being active and enjoyed playing sports. She and her siblings shared countless memories together, including many hours spent playing Minecraft, laughing and having fun. But Ashlynn especially loved being outdoors and making memories doing things together rather than sitting inside. Those simple moments with her family are memories that will be cherished forever.
Ashlynn grew up surrounded by her two siblings and her father, who loved her deeply. Her family was an important part of her life, and the memories they created together will remain in their hearts forever.
Ashlynn also faced the challenges of living with Type 1 diabetes. It was a difficult part of her life, but it was only one part of the person she was. She was so much more than her struggles. She was a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a beautiful soul who brought love and positivity into the lives of those around her.
Although her time with us was far too short, Ashlynn left an impact that will never be forgotten. Her smile, her kindness, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through everyone who knew her.
Ashlynn is now at peace, free from the struggles she carried in this life. While our hearts ache from losing her, we can take comfort in knowing that the love she gave us will remain with us forever.
She is survived by her parents, Allison McPherson and Donald Short, Jr.; brother, Devin; sister, Alexis; grandparents, Teresa and Brad McPherson, Donald and Sandy Short, and Vicki Thompson; great-grandmother, Barb McPherson; and many uncles and cousins.
Rest peacefully, Ashlynn. You were loved more than words can ever express, and you will never be forgotten.
