At the present time I am in LA with our daughter and family. I would like to send my thoughts and wishes to all of Barbs family. She was always so great to my mom and dad, Alfred and JoAnn Janssen. She visited with them, played cards with them, and always made a point to go out of her way to speak to them when in a group.

I was the only Barb Janssen I knew until Marlins Barb came into the family. Then my named changed to Shostak, but there was still a Barb Janssen; I always felt a special bond with Barb in this way.

May God hold you close at this time. Losing someone leaves no room for words or comfort at the time; may you recall memories, catch a glimpse of Barb in something you never expected, and may you hear her words come to you as soft a gentle breeze or touch of someone close to you. She will be your guardian angel along with other family members not with you at this time. Be blessed as she blessed each of you with her presence.

We express our sincere sympathy at the passing of Barb. Our loss is heaven's gain. We have such fond memories of being in a 500 card club with you and Barb for a number of years when we lived in Hawarden. The laughs and friendship we experienced are priceless. A joyful reunion now awaits you and your family in heaven.
