Betty Marie Anderson

Inwood, IA: Betty M. Anderson, 87, of Inwood, Iowa, died Friday, November 17, 2023, at Fellowship Village of Inwood, Iowa. An inurnment graveside service will be held Saturday, November 25, at 11:00 AM at the Larchwood Cemetery in Larchwood, Iowa with Pastor Tim Voigt officiating. Porter Funeral Home of Inwood is assisting the family with arrangements.

   Betty M. Anderson, daughter of Floyd and Emma (Redmayne) Brown, was born May 14, 1936, at the family farm near Inwood, Iowa. Betty attended and graduated from Inwood High School. On June 27, 1959, she was united in marriage with Jay Anderson at the Larchwood United Church of Christ in Larchwood, Iowa. The couple made their home in Larchwood. Jay passed away on January 5, 2012. Betty was a bookkeeper at Wells Fargo in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for 13 years and later spent 3 years as a bookkeeper for the Inwood Elevator.

   Betty enjoyed cross stitching, puzzles, and spending time with her beloved dog, Scooter. Betty was a member of the Larchwood Auxiliary and the Larchwood United Church of Christ.

   She is survived by her sisters, Carol (Bill) Van Gammeren and Evelyn Brown, both of Inwood; and several nieces and nephews.

   Preceding Betty in death are her parents, Floyd and Emma Brown; husband, Jay Anderson; daughter, Lisa Anderson; and son, Mitchell Anderson.
