Bob G. Redfield

Sioux Falls, SD: Robert “Bob” Redfield, 85, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, died Monday, September 16, 2019, at the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System. Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 19, at 2:00 PM at Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley, Iowa.

   Robert Grant Redfield was born May 1, 1934, at Atchison, Kansas. Bob proudly served in the United States Navy from June 13, 1951 – June 3, 1955, during the Korean Conflict. After the war, Bob lived for several years in Arizona where he worked at a boat repair shop. Bob eventually moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Bob was a very good handy-man who could fix almost anything he worked on. He enjoyed woodworking, jigsaw puzzles, and word finds.

   Bob is survived by his wife, Gussie Redfield of Sioux Falls; step-daughter Cheryl (Phil) Larsen of Sioux Falls; many step-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Margaret Chambers of Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Louella; step-son, David; step-daughter, Sandy; and step-granddaughter, Terri.
