Hawarden, Iowa: Carrie Benson, 37, of Hawarden, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Avera McKennan Hospital at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Memorial service will be held Friday, November 13, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Porter Funeral Home at Hawarden. Burial of cremated remains will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton, Iowa.
Carrie Anne Benson, daughter of Craig and Peggy Madeen, was born September 5, 1978 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Carrie was united in marriage with Ted Benson on May 19, 2007 outside of Stevensville, Montana. The couple lived in Montana until moving to Craig, Iowa in 2012. Carrie enjoyed fishing, hiking, and listening to live music.
Carrie is survived by her husband, Ted Benson of Hawarden; father, Craig (Kay) Madeen of Midland, Texas; mother, Peggy Madeen of Gillette, Wyoming; one sister, Megan Madeen of Rozet, Wyoming; and one nephew, Cohen.
