She joined her parents in Heaven, as well as a sister, Mary Van Zee; and brothers-in-law, Ervin Breuer, Joe Bechler, and Richard Van Zee.
I was in Miss Wallenburgs first class at Sanborn Christian. Second grade, 1968. She still sent me Christmas cards in her beautiful handwriting. She and my mom, Lois Postma, had an on-going Scrabble game for years. I have many fond memories of this lovely lady.

Our sympathy to the family and friends of Darlene. All of our kids had her as a teacher and I was blessed to teach with her and did some long term subbing for her when she took her cancer treatment. We worked well together and our kids learned a lot from her. Cursive penmanship was very important for her to teach her students.
