Deloris Brown

Aberdeen, SD: Deloris Brown, 88, of Aberdeen, formerly of Hudson, died Monday under Hospice care at her son's home in Aberdeen. Memorial Service will be 10:30 am Monday at Hudson Lutheran Church, Hudson, SD. No visitation before. Porter Funeral Home, Hudson in charge of arrangements.

Deloris Mae was born January 23, 1925 at Primghar, Iowa, daughter of Roy and Anna (Fjeld) Winkelman. She graduated high school and attended Westmar College at LeMars, Iowa. Deloris married Robert 'Bob' Brown on June 23, 1945 at Ireton, Iowa. Together they lived at Ireton, Colton, SD, Tyndall, SD, and they Hudson, SD. She was a Nurse's Aid at Tyndall, Hawarden, and Hudson. They attended Lutheran Church and Deloris was a Sunday School teacher many years. Bob Sr. died on August 23, 2004. Deloris moved to Sioux Falls, SD and then to Aberdeen, SD in March of 2013. .

Surviving relatives include her sons, Bob Jr. (Marlys) Brown of Hudson, SD, Rod (Dorothy) Brown of Box Elder, SD, and Doug (Thelma) Brown of Aberdeen, SD; sister, Norma Vanderham of Sioux Falls, formerly Ireton, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.

Deloris was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Sr.; brother, Clarence Winkelman.
