Doug was a great guy who I got to meet when attending Minnesota Twins games as a season ticket holder at the Metrodome. We met in the Rally Room (season ticket holder lounge) and would have a beverage or two before the game. There wasn't a better guy to sit with and talk Twins baseball then Doug because of how much he loved it.

I remember meeting up with him at Target Field the first season on the weekends when he would travel to Minneapolis. We would look for each other at the Metropolitan Club, sometimes even save seats for each other just so we could sit and shoot the breeze talking Minnesota Twins baseball.

Doug will be greatly missed by myself and many other Minnesota Twins fans that got the chance to interact with him. I can't wait to talk Twins baseball with again and that ballfield on the other side! RIP Doug!

Doug was a genuine, good-hearted person, and my condolences go out to his family and friends. I will cherish memories of seeing my friend head home covered with feed after a hard day's work, and of course getting the low-down on Twins baseball. Rest in peace Doug.
