Faye DeVos

Ireton, Iowa- Faye DeVos, 80, of Ireton, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.
Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home in Ireton. Her body will be cremated and the cremated remains will be buried at a later date at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton.
Faye was born March 23, 1932 in Sheldon, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Lula (Matheson) Dougherty. She married Russell DeVos on February 28, 1948 in Sheldon. They lived in Sheldon until moving to Ireton, Iowa. Faye worked at Otis Radio in Hawarden for a number of years. Russ passed away February 4, 1988.
Survivors include a daughter, Vicki (Rod) Hodgson of Ireton; a son, Doug also of Ireton; 4 granddaughters; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 2 sisters, Doris Vogelaar of Sheldon and Jolene Tapp of California; also her special friend, Paul.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Don Dougherty of Ireton.
