Halee Grace Bliek

   Memorial Service for Halee Grace Bliek will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2023 at the First Reformed Church in Rock Valley, Iowa, with Rev. Cliff Hoekstra officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service. The service will be livestreamed on the church website at www.rvfrc.org.    Halee Grace Bliek was born in Rock Valley, Iowa on February 6th, 1988 to Randy and Wanda (Van Grootheest) Bliek. Halee attended RVCSD and was very active in sports and extracurricular activities. Of those activities, basketball, volleyball, and FFA were her favorites. After graduating in 2006, she moved to Sioux Falls and worked at a variety of establishments where she was able to be in the service of others. Halee was a people person and was always seen with a smile on her face at work. In 2010, Halee became a mother to her daughter and best friend, Brynlee Grace. In 2019, Halee moved back to Rock Valley prior to the birth of her son, Conor Mitchell. Halee enjoyed spending time with her children and family, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, and reading whatever romance book she could get her hands on. Halee enjoyed the 4th of July and will always be remembered by being the first person to suggest going to buy more fireworks.

   Halee passed away on July 30th, 2023 in a tragic car accident.

   Halee is survived by her children, Brynlee Grace (age 12) and Conor Mitchell (age 4); her parents, Randy and Wanda Bliek of Rock Valley; sister Ashley (Richard) Jarman of Canton, South Dakota, sister Caitlin Bliek of Whiting, Iowa, and brother Mitchell Bliek of Rock Valley. As well as her nieces and nephew: Berkley, Briggs, Bevin, Fynlee; her grandparents, Herb and Mina Bliek of Rock Valley and grandmother, Bertha Van Grootheest of Doon, Iowa. Halee is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

   She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Parker Nicole, grandfather, Edward Van Grootheest, and aunt, Sue Bliek.
