A grand lady with a heart of Jesus. - October 23, 2018

I came to Bethel UMC in Inwood in 2006 as a lay speaker and going in the ministry as a pastor. Jan (that's how I knew her name until I went to the hospital in Sioux Falls to visit her but couldn't get in to see her until I called Evelyn Brown to get her full name Janet for the receptionist)was a great help to me in my beginning ministry at Inwood and Doon. She gave me advice and helped answer any questions I might have and shared some materials from Ken's ministry. She helped me visit others and was there at my side at the last worship service when Bethel UMC closed in 2009. When Bethel closed she joined the Doon church so she could continue to be in my congregation. I moved from Doon in 2016 but still kept in touch with her and Leonard afterwards. She will always be in my heart.

Jan was a wonderful lady , I remember when she played piano at the Methodist Church where Ken was our Pastor in Inwood. She will be missed.
