Jeffrey Broek

Rock Valley, IA: Jeffrey Broek, 58, of Rock Valley, Iowa died suddenly at his home on Thursday, August 31, 2017. Jeff was cremated and the family will gather at a later date to remember his life. Porter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jeffrey Allen Broek, son of John and Delma (Schuiteman) Broek, was born May 11, 1959 in Sioux Center, Iowa. Jeff grew up attending Sioux Center Christian School and later graduated from Unity Christian High School. Growing up on a farm, Jeff would follow his dad around and help him from time to time. Only God knows why, but Jeff had a life of struggle and pain. That pain has been replaced with the assurance that God, in His infinite mercy and grace, has taken Jeff home. His soul is now at peace.

Jeff is survived by his two daughters, Jessica (Scott) Stensgaard and their children, Mariah and Isaiah Stensgaard, and Aubrey Atwood, all of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Danielle (Brian) Marsiglia of Denver, Colorado; and two sisters, Denise Broek of Sioux Center, Iowa and Sandy Brynes of Wittmann, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Delma; and an infant daughter, Amy Jo Broek.
