Guestbook

I remember Jesse. Back in 91 I met him at the Braille School in Vinton and I remember he wore shoulder pads back then and he wore them back in 92. I remember Jesse quit wearing them back in 93 and he wore a Jean Coat. Back in 91-92 school year Jesse was screaming and then he quit screaming. Jesse said "He" because that's how he said "hi". I remember I head Jesse say "Ahhh most of the 93-94 shcool year and the fallowing school year and the school year after and the last time I saw Jesse at the Braille School was back in 97-98 School Year. In March 2018 God wanted Jesse 2 go 2 Heaven. Jesse has no pain, no sorrow and he's all better and new. I also remember Jesse wore leg braces 2. See U someday in Heaven.

First of all, I am sorry for your loss.

I am not positive, but I am quite sure that I was privileged to be able to work with Jesse when I was attending Dordt College (1980-84)and taking a special education class. I volunteered to go to River Valley in order to get some experience. I was asked to work with a young boy whose name was Jesse and he was blind. I remember that I needed to assist Jesse with learning how to crawl. I know that he would get frustrated many times but I also remember that he could give some of the best hugs that I've ever received. I am wondering, since you lived in Doon, did you send Jesse to River Valley for some therapy prior to him turning seven? If so, then I am sure that he is the same Jesse that I worked with. Thank you for sharing your son with me. I was a teacher for many years and now I am working part-time at VNU in Sheldon as an instructor in CSI and the autism program.
