Kevin Minor, Sr.

Kevin Minor Sr., 69, of Appleton City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, with his family by his side. Born on June 2, 1956, Kevin was a hardworking man with a big heart and an even bigger sense of humor.

   A lifelong semi-truck driver, Kevin proudly owned Kevin Minor Hauling, dedicating decades to a career he loved. His partner of 30 years, Stephanie Piper, shared in that journey, and together they built a blended family filled with laughter and love. Kevin was a devoted father to Amy (Travis) Waterman, Laura (Brent) Wielenga, William (Crystal) Minor, and Kevin Minor Jr., and a proud stepfather to Justin (Rebecca) Piper, Jennifer (Dustin) Stephens, and Julie (Larry) Drake. His legacy lives on through his brother, Dennis Minor, and his sisters, Lynn (Don) Barton and Rita (M.T:) Dunham. Additionall½ he is survived by 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 6 step-grandchildren, and 7 step-great-grandchildren.

   Kevin will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and those unforgettable phone calls where he'd begin, "This is me, is that you?" If asked whether he needed anything, he'd grin and say, "A box of 100-dollar bills." He loved fishing of all kinds, hunting pheasant and deer, and gathering the family for fish fries. He never missed a chance to make loved ones smile, or a chance to say, "I love you."

   A private Celebration of Life for family will be held on July 4, 2026, to honor Kevin's memory.
