Larry Leroy Trigg

Doon, IA: Larry Trigg, 80, of Doon, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at his home in Doon. A private family inurnment service will be held Tuesday, December 8, at Hillside Cemetery of Doon with Pastor Jim Sweers officiating. The family appreciates your prayers, and in lieu of flowers, the family prefers to receive sympathy cards.

   Larry Leroy Trigg, son of Wallace and Jennie (Jasper) Trigg, was born October 11, 1940 in Doon, Iowa. Later the Trigg family moved to California where Larry graduated from High School in Artesia, California. Larry was united in marriage with Margo Brinkman on December 26, 1960. During their nearly 60 years together, the couple spent time living in California and Iowa. Larry had a strong work ethic and started working from a young age. He spent most of his working days hauling hay. When he wasn’t working, you would most likely find Larry fishing, hunting, trapping, or “shooting the bull” with friends.

   Larry is survived by his wife, Margo; 3 children, Mike (Julie) Trigg of Sheldon, Iowa, Carrie Trigg of Mason City, Iowa, and Suzann Trigg of Doon; 6 grandchildren, Burgandy, Shawn, Lashel, Tim, Heather, and Jennie; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Chuck Trigg of Washington.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Jennie; son, Nick Trigg; and 2 grandsons, Mikey Trigg and Chris Trigg.
