Leslie Dale Rozeboom, son of Henry “Hank” and Adrianna “Ada” (Van Den Top) Rozeboom, was born March 1, 1963, in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Les grew up in Doon, Iowa and graduated from Central Lyon High School in Rock Rapids. After graduating, Les worked with his dad at Hank’s Body Shop, and in 1996 Les and Terry Post bought the body shop from Hank and renamed it Xtreme Body Works. Les married Camy Thompson and to this union a son, Seth Henry Rozeboom, was born. The couple later divorced.
Les was a great father and had deep love for his son. He often showed that love by supporting Seth’s passions and never missing any of his activities. Les was a loyal and caring person, not only to his son, but friends and family as well. He also had a love for cars, especially corvettes and hot rods, music, fishing, golfing, and travelling. Les was a member of Doon First Reformed Church.
Les is survived by his son, Seth (Kessa) Rozeboom of Lennox, South Dakota; father, Hank Rozeboom of Doon; four sisters, Rita Samuelson of Columbus, Nebraska, Wendy (Larry) Vander Plaats of Hospers, Iowa, Marsha (Scott) Van Bemmel of Doon, and Sara (Clifford) De Kam of Doon; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ada Rozeboom.
