Linda Lou Esther Peters, daughter of Raymond Edward Hulstein and Irene Hutterer, was born May 29, 1949, in Heppenheim, Germany. When she was three months old, she came to the United States and spent many of her formative years in Sioux City, Iowa. Linda graduated from Central High School in Sioux City and went on to attend beauty school. She worked for a while as a beautician and after that worked in various jobs throughout her life.
Linda married Gary Jasper in 1967 and to this union, two children were born, Scott and Nicole. The couple later divorced. Linda met Danny Peters in the early 80’s and on March 17, 1985, the couple got married. Linda and Danny celebrated over 30 years of marriage until Danny’s death on February 17, 2016. In June 2008, Linda had a severe stroke which brought its challenges, but she was lovingly cared for by her sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Mike Te Velde, who welcomed her into their home in Hull, Iowa.
Linda had many joys throughout her life. Camping, cats, watching her daily soap operas, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys were near the top of her list. She also enjoyed watching game shows, going for rides in the country, dancing, and maybe even a trip to the casino from time to time.
Linda is survived by her son, Scott (Mindi) Jasper of David City, Nebraska; daughter, Nicole Jasper (John Wardenburg) of Duncan, Nebraska; 4 grandchildren, Hunter Pollack, Max Jasper, Ashely (Craig) Schroeder, and Jessica Jasper; 4 great-grandchildren, Hailey, Korbi, Aubree, and Abbie; step-son, Jeff (Nikki) Peters of Wylie, Texas; step-daughter, Angie (Mark) Avera of McKinney, Texas; 6 step-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Lisa (Mike) Te Velde of Hull, Mary Ruth Wilson of Bellingham, Washington; and Clarice (Harlan) Van Maanen of Sioux Center, Iowa; and 2 brothers, Duane (Judy) Hulstein of Orange City, Iowa, and Doug Hulstein of Hull.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and 3 brothers, Robert Hulstien, Butchie Hulstein, and Harry Hulstein.
