Linda Siebrands

Doon, IA: Linda Lou Siebrands, 76, of Doon, Iowa, died Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Hegg Health Center of Rock Valley. Inurnment of cremated remains will be held at Hillside Cemetery of Doon at a later date. Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley is assisting the family with arrangements. 

   Linda (Anderson) Siebrands was born June 14, 1947, to Ivan and Bertha (Tiedeman) Anderson. She attended school in Doon, Iowa through the 8th grade. She went to Central Lyon High School in Rock Rapids, Iowa, graduating in 1965. Linda worked at Otis Radio in Hawarden, Iowa until she married Loyal “Butch” Siebrands on October 14, 1966. They made their home in Doon. Linda was a stay-at-home mom with their two children, Paige and Brent. After her children graduated from school, Linda worked at Groschopp in Sioux Center, Iowa. She worked for 24 years, retiring in 2013.

   Grateful for sharing her life is her husband of 57 years, Butch; daughter, Paige (Larry) Van Veldhuizen and their 3 children, Morgan Koerselman, Brooke (Colby) Klaassen, and Eric Van Veldhuizen; son, Brent (Tammy) Siebrands and their 3 sons, Bryce Veltkamp, Daniel Munoz, and Thomas (Elena) Munoz; 5 great-grandchildren, Brantlee, Brogan, Hadley, Benson, and Ace; 2 sisters, Marilyn (Wendell) DeJong of Sheldon, Iowa and Marlene Tricoli of Doon; brother, Don Anderson of Bonesteel, South Dakota; sisters-in-law, Donna Anderson of Doon and Val (Ray) Wells of DeForest, Wisconsin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

   Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Bertha Anderson; parents-in-law, Pete and Elaine Siebrands; brother, Jon “Toby” Anderson; brother-in-law, Jim Tricoli; sister-in-law, Doris Anderson; and niece, Julie Anderson.
