Lola Jean Quade

AKRON, IOWA- Lola Jean Quade, 91, of Akron, died at home on Tuesday morning, October 21, 2025.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2025, at Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden, Iowa with Rev. Doctor Joshua Lowe officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be before the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Lola was born February 12, 1934, in Kiron, Iowa, the daughter of William and Nina (Buller) Quade. She attended the public schools and graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School. She married Russel Kranz on May 25, 1952, in Kingsley, Iowa, and later they divorced. In the 1980’s she attained college credits towards database management and word processing at Western Iowa Tech Community College. She worked for Iowa Abstract and Title Company in Le Mars for at least 40 years. In her free time, she loved to paint, crochet, sew, and make beautiful quilts. Each of her grandchildren got a quilt from her.

Lola is survived by two daughters, Lynda Olson of Akron and Susan and her husband Randy Donelson of Hawarden, Iowa: ten grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Lola was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, Dale and Joe Quade; and sons, Mike and Tim Kranz.
