Maranda Yesda

Hawarden, IA: Maranda Yesda, 30, of Hawarden, Iowa, died suddenly on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, at 11 AM at Porter Funeral Home of Hawarden. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Maranda Yesda, daughter of Ken and Paula (Medema) Yesda, was born May 13, 1986 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Maranda met the love of her life, Mat Frazier in 2005 and together the couple had three children; Kylee, Joshua, and Mya. Maranda earned her LPN license and worked at Hudson Care and Rehab Center in Hudson, South Dakota. She enjoyed camping, cooking, and taking pictures. Maranda’s greatest joy was time spent with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Mat Frazier of Hawarden; three children, Kylee, Joshua, and Mya Frazier; parents, Ken and Paula Yesda of Sioux Falls; four siblings, Melissa (Kasey) Wallace of Canton, South Dakota, Austin Yesda, Coralee (Luis) De paz, and Cody Yesda, all of Sioux Falls; grandmother, Mary Medema-Shipps of Norfolk, Nebraska; half-sister, Nicole Sunderman of Sioux Falls; mother-in-law, Mary Nabity of Hudson; and sisters-in-law, Marlana Frazier of Tea, South Dakota and Mandy (Bobby) Smith of Sioux Falls.

Maranda was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.
