Rock Valley, IA: Maura Del Real González, de 77 años y residente de Rock Valley, Iowa, falleció el domingo 2 de noviembre de 2025 en el Centro de Salud Hegg de Rock Valley. La misa de funeral se celebrará el viernes 7 de noviembre a las 11:00 a. m. en la Iglesia Católica de Santa María de Rock Valley, oficiada por el Padre Mauro Sánchez. El sepelio tendrá lugar a continuación en el Cementerio Católico de Santa María de Rock Valley. La familia recibirá el pésame el jueves 6 de noviembre a partir de las 7:00 p. m. en la Iglesia Católica de Santa María.

Rock Valley, IA: Maura Del Real Gonzalez, 77, of Rock Valley, Iowa, died Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Hegg Health Center of Rock Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 7, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Rock Valley with Father Mauro Sanchez celebrating the mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery of Rock Valley. The family will be available to greet friends on Thursday, November 6, beginning at 7 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Nació el 15 de enero de 1948 en el municipio de Colotlán, Jalisco, México. Sus padres fueron Salvador Del Real y Juana González. Fue una persona sencilla, servicial y entregada a su familia. A temprana edad comenzó a trabajar en una tienda de abarrotes, en ese tiempo, de las más importantes de la región, a la cual dedicó 20 años de su vida y tuvo la oportunidad de conocer y tratar a muchas personas que se ganaron su aprecio. Fue en ese mismo lugar donde conoció a quien fuera su esposo Daniel Weatherford con el cual procreó a 4 hijos: Daniel, Salvador, Ana Isabel y Jorge Luis.

Su vida no fue fácil, pues tuvo que ser padre y madre a la vez. Desafortunadamente, en 1991 quedó viuda, a cargo de sus 4 hijos, papás y su hermana María, la cual sufría de una discapacidad, por lo que tuvo la necesidad de buscar diferentes fuentes de empleo, tales como crianza de cerdos, limpieza de casas, venta de semillas tostadas, entre otros. Pero gracias a su fuerza de voluntad, coraje y fe en DIOS logró sacarlos adelante con muchas limitaciones y carencias, además de enfrentar muchas pruebas, como la pérdida de seres queridos. En el 2015 le realizaron una operación a corazón abierto para hacerle reemplazo de arterias, la cual fue exitosa gracias a Dios y pudo seguir con su vida normal.

Hoy podemos decir que su esfuerzo y trabajo no fueron en vano, logró sacar a sus hijos adelante, verlos formar sus familias y disfrutar de sus nietos. Desafortunadamente, el domingo 2 de noviembre de 2025 el señor la llamó a su presencia, por lo que nos deja con un profundo dolor pero con un cúmulo de recuerdos que quedarán grabados en nuestros corazones.

Juan 11:25-26: “yo soy la resurrección y la vida, el que cree en mi, aunque muera,vivira ; y todo el que vive y cree en mi, no morira para siempre.”

She was born on January 15, 1948, in the municipality of Colotlán, Jalisco, Mexico. Her parents were Salvador Del Real and Juana González. She was a humble and helpful person who was deeply devoted to her family. At an early age, she began working in a grocery store, which was then one of the most prominent in the region. She dedicated 20 years of her life to that place and had the opportunity to meet many people who earned her affection. It was there that she met her future husband, Daniel Weatherford, with whom she had four children: Daniel, Salvador, Ana Isabel, and Jorge Luis.

Her life was not easy because she had to be both father and mother at the same time. Unfortunately, in 1991, she became a widow and was left in charge of her four children, her parents, and her sister María, who had a disability. Because of this, she had to explore alternative ways to earn a living, such as raising pigs, cleaning houses, and selling roasted seeds. Thanks to her willpower, courage, and faith in God, she managed to move her family forward despite many hardships and limitations. She also faced many trials, including the loss of loved ones. In 2015 she underwent open-heart surgery to replace arteries, which, thank God, was successful and allowed her to continue living a normal life.

Today, we can say that her hard work and effort were not in vain. She managed to raise her children, see them build their own families, and enjoy her grandchildren. Sadly, on Sunday, November 2, 2025, the Lord called her into His presence. She leaves us with deep sorrow but also with countless memories that will forever remain in our hearts.
