She taught for a time at a Country School. On January 7, 1948, she married Robert Vincent LeMonds. In 1950 Muriel and Vince purchased the Doon Locker Plant. Over the years they acquired the grocery store and their business became known as Vince’s Clover Farm. Muriel was a hard worker and continued to work at the grocery store into her 90’s.

She looked forward to Friday Bingo at RiverView Ridge.

Muriel lived most of her life in Doon, other than part of her childhood on the family farm south of Lester, Iowa until moving to RiverView Ridge Assisted Living in Rock Valley, Iowa in 2022.
