Patsy A. Karr

HAWARDEN, IOWA – Patsy “Pat” (Eilts) Karr, 65, of Hawarden, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at the Hillcrest Health Care Services in Hawarden.

   A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday May 22, 2020 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, LCMS in Hawarden with Rev. Joshua Lowe officiating. A private family inurnment at the Grace Hill Cemetery will follow the memorial service. The memorial service will be livestreamed at Trinity Lutheran Church Hawarden Iowa Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, memorials and acts of kindness may be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church, LCMS of Hawarden. The Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden is assisting the family.    Pasty Karr, the daughter of Raymond and Bernice (Boisen) Eilts, was born on July 15th, 1954, in Hawarden, Iowa.  Pat grew up in Chatsworth, Iowa and graduated from West Sioux High School in 1972.  Pat married Terry Karr on July 17th, 1974, and together they had three children, Travis, Tracie, and Landon.  They made their home in Hawarden where Pat was a homemaker for 46 years.  Pat was baptized and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church, LCMS where she was a member her entire life.

   Pat is survived by her son, Travis (Alisa) Karr of Carson, Virginia, and daughter, Tracie (Jim) McManaman of Hawarden, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Kim Johnson; grandchildren, Grayson and Fletcher Karr and Emma and Ian McManaman; siblings, Gloria Unruh, Mary Van Wyhe, and John Eilts; mother-in-law, Luella Karr; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

   She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Karr; son, Landon Karr; parents, Raymond and Bernice Eilts; brothers, Bobby and Richard Eilts; and father-in-law, David Kenyon Karr.
