Sandra Rae Sieler

ALVORD, IOWA- Sandy Sieler, 71, of Alvord, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at the Rock Rapids Health Centre.

   Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not be having a public memorial at this time.  A private family graveside service will take place on Monday, April 20, 2020 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at Rock Valley, Iowa with Father Doug Klein officiating. The family prefers memorials be directed to Hope Haven in Rock Valley. The Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley is assisting the family.

   Sandra Rae Sieler was born September 23, 1948 in Yankton, South Dakota, the daughter of Raymond and Matilda (Westerwal) Sieler.  She grew up in Mitchell, South Dakota and graduated from the Mitchell High School. Sandy was employed at K-Products in Rock Valley, Iowa for many years and for the past 15 years she greatly enjoyed working at Double-H in Rock Valley.

   She was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rock Valley. In her younger years she enjoyed riding horses and has always loved dogs, including her last dog Sally.

   Sandy is survived by two sisters, Linda Sieler of Garretson, South Dakota and Ruth Koedam and her husband Merle of Alvord, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Matilda; and five brothers, Tony, Frank, Albert, Raymond, and William, Sr.

   Sandy will be missed by her many friends and family.
