Terrance "Terry" Lee Frerichs

Terrance “Terry” Lee Frerichs was born January 9, 1958, to Richard and Opal (Henkel) Frerichs in LeMars, Iowa. He attended school in LeMars.

In May of 1980, he was united in marriage to Becky (Moerman). Together they had 2 daughters, April and Kasey. The couple divorced after many years of marriage.

He later met Edna Wilson and finished his life with her.

Terry worked many physical labor jobs in his younger days from concrete, to working on grain bins, to welding side dumps. He enjoyed the outdoors, canoeing, camping, and fishing. He was rarely seen without one of his beloved dogs. Terry passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

Left to remember him is his special friend Edna; his children, April (Byron) Hoogland of Houston, Texas, Kasey (Julian) Chamorro of Hawarden, Iowa; his brother, Tim (Lora) of Tennessee, 5 grandchildren, Kameron, Kyler, Addison, LcAnna, and Brook; his great-grandchildren, Azrael, Matias, Aurelia, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his grandparents.

As Terry wished, there will be no public funeral service. Instead, his family is having a celebration of life on Sunday, December 7 from noon-3pm. It will be held at Dusty Lady, 32 Central Ave NW in LeMars. Please join the family to share memories and enjoy snacks and drinks.
