Vivian Bultman

HAWARDEN, IOWA – Vivian Bultman, 88, of Hawarden, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Hillcrest Healthcare Services in Hawarden.

   Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church, LCMS in Hawarden with Rev. Joshua Lowe officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m., on Sunday at Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden. 

   Vivian Joyce Bultman was born July 1, 1933, at Ireton, Iowa, the daughter of Pete and Henrietta (Witt) Moeller. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ireton. Vivian married Ken Bultman on February 19, 1956, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. They lived on a farm northeast of Hawarden, Iowa for 40 years, until moving into Hawarden. Vivian worked at Coilcraft in Hawarden for 25 years.

   She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, LCMS in Hawarden and the LWML. She liked to play cards and enjoyed doing crochet.

   Vivian is survived by her husband, Ken; sons, Brian Bultman and Bruce Bultman both of Hawarden; 3 daughters, Barb Altena and husband Ralph of Arnolds Park, Iowa, Bonnie Kusler and husband Ben of Akron, Iowa, and Beth Schlumbohm and husband Judd of Hawarden; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces.

   Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; 6 brothers, Melvin and his wife Mildred, Lyle, Dean, Lowell, Daryl, and Raymond; and 2 sisters, Violet in infancy and Verna Schlumbohm and her husband Bernard.
