Sharon Rae (Hepp) Niemeyer, daughter of Irwin and Esther (Elston) Hepp, was born on March 13, 1950, in Sioux Falls, SD. Sharon attended school in Sioux Falls and graduated from Washington High School in 1968.
Sharon married Case Niemeyer June 22, 1968. Together they created a home filled with love and laughter in Inwood until Case's passing January 2004. During their 35 years of marriage they enjoyed attending various school events, camping, and creating many special memories with family and friends.
Sharon looked forward to the annual Inwood Fourth of July celebration. Sitting at the edge of the street screaming, "over here, over here" and being rewarded with handfuls of candy while watching the ear to ear smiles of the kids as they reaped the rewards. Not to mention the occasional waves of water the rest of us endured as she sat there smiling and laughing as she only could.
Sharon's deep faith and love of God was evident through her love of people. It has been said, you knew where you stood with Sharon as she was straight forward. However her home was always open, Diet Coke in the fridge and an overwhelming spirit of comfort and help. Words of encouragement could be found in every card she created.
Blessed to have shared her life and her memory, her daughter, Tracy (Billy) Burrell of Sioux Falls; granddaughter, Brookelynn Park; brother, Rick (Carla) Hepp of Sioux Falls; two sisters, Glenna (Donald) Farnsworth of Canton, SD and Lisa (Dan) Jenson of Las Vegas, NV; and three sisters-in-law, Wilma (Lee) Engstrom of Grand Rapids, MN, Sue (Mark) Bauman of Inwood, and Debra Hepp of Cusetta, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irwin Hepp and Esther Hixson; husband, Case Niemeyer; brother, Robert Hepp; and sister, Lori Mayers.
